It's November, and you know what that means.

It's NaNoWriMo time! Whoo! My favorite, busiest time of year. I'm aiming to actually finish this year, but we'll see how things go.

I has new computer! It is big and shiny and fast. ^^ I'm so very pleased with it.

Last night I was finally able to order my new laptop. It is shiny and badass and amazing. I spent almost all of my refund check on it. Totally worth it.

Shannon, I might need to ask you and Ray to pick it up at my house before you come down this weekend if it comes in. : )

I am not happy. First thing I realize when I wake up this morning? We don't have any water. Yeah. The fuckers at the school basically turned off our water with no warning.

*EDIT* From the mouth of the school: "Do to a construction accident, we have had to turn off all of the water to housing one. We will notify you when it is turned back on."

What a lovely day. :D

Woke up early to an empty apartment and puttered around checking email and getting dressed while I waited for the rain to pass, then went out for a walk. Stood around for a while and watched a crane try, and fail, to catch a fish; found a very tiny turtle and poked it gently with a stick to get it off of the path so it wouldn't be crushed. Went back home and had my breakfast and tea, then sat around watching Kirsten's House DVDs and reading for class. Got up, cleaned, opened the windows and did battle with some very determined Daddy Longlegs that were trying to climb into my bedroom, and finally took a shower.

(Did I ever tell you guys the spider cleaning story? No? It's so much better in person.)

In related news, I'm starting to get a slightly thicker skin when it comes to bugs and their ilk. The woods = bugs so I might as well get used to them. It only took two years to do so...

I have so many stories to tell you guys the next time I'm home. ♥
